Really works

"Used on sweet and hot pepper plants pproduced 5x more peppers than previous years."

Daniel M. (5/5)

Strong stems

"Each time I sprayed the leaves, the plants seem to have had a minor setback. However, the stems on the tomatoes remained incredibly strong! Then I was fooled by the warm weather and planted them outside only to have some cold temps. The little plants looked very sad but still had these very strong stems. Now it’s the end of June and these plants look great!! I’ve been feeding with Tomato Secret so I’m not sure if it’s the seedling spray or the Secret that’s giving the plants the boost - probably both."

Q&A

What Makes Us Different?

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Seedling Grow™ different from other fertilizers for seedlings?

Most seed-starting fertilizers are either diluted general purpose or water-soluble fertilizers that are too strong for young seedlings. Seedling Grow™ is a fermented foliar spray formulated specifically for the seedling stage. Because it's 100% bioavailable and absorbs directly through the leaf, your seedlings get the nutrition they need without any risk to delicate roots. It's premixed, so there's no guessing at nutrient concentration or dilution ratios.

When should I start using Seedling Grow™ on my seedlings?

Start once your seedlings have developed their first set of true leaves. At this stage, the starter leaves have done their job and the young plant is ready to take in outside nutrition. Spray thoroughly until the liquid begins to drip off the leaves, and reapply every 7 to 10 days through the seedling stage. This weekly application gives them steady nutrition as they grow.

Can I use Seedling Grow™ on tomato seedlings and other vegetables?

Yes. Seedling Grow™ works on all types, including tomato seedlings, peppers, herbs, flowers, and anything else you're starting for your vegetable garden. The fermented formula supports early root development and healthy plant growth across the board regardless of what you're growing. Any plant that starts from seed will benefit from Seedling Grow™ in those early weeks. For tomatoes, pair it with Tomato Secret® at transplant time for a complete feeding system.

Will Seedling Grow™ help prevent transplant shock?

That's one of its biggest strengths. Seedlings that receive steady nutrition during the early weeks develop healthy roots and stronger stems, which makes them far more resilient when it's time to move them into a bigger pot or out into the garden. A well-fed seedling handles the stress of transplanting much better than one that's been underfed or hit with a harsh granular fertilizer right. For a healthy transplant, use Chicken Soup For The Soil®.

How is a foliar spray better than a liquid fertilizer I mix into the soil?

Young seedlings have delicate roots that can be easily damaged by strong nutrient concentrations in the soil mix. A foliar spray bypasses the root system entirely and delivers nutrition directly through the leaves, which means faster absorption with zero risk of root burn. This is especially important in seed trays and soil blocks where the root system is still developing. As your seedlings mature into young plants, you can transition to a soil-applied fertilizer like Chicken Soup For The Soil®.

What are signs of nutrient deficiency in seedlings, and can Seedling Grow™ help?

Common signs include pale or yellowing leaves, slow plant growth, and weak stems that can't support the seedling upright. Nutrient deficiency at the seedling stage often happens when the initial nutrients in the soil mix run out and no additional feeding is provided. Because Seedling Grow™ absorbs through the foliage right away, it can correct these issues quickly. A consistent weekly application keeps nutrient levels steady so deficiencies don't develop in the first place.

What should I use after my seedlings outgrow the seedling stage?

Once your seedlings are ready to transplant into a larger container or out into the garden, switch to Chicken Soup For The Soil®. Place it in the planting hole to feed the soil and support the transition from young to mature plants. Chicken Soup picks up where Seedling Grow™ leaves off, delivering the full range of nutrients, humic acid, and trace minerals your plants need through the rest of the season. Together they create a complete feeding system from seed to harvest.
